Comparative hospital performance
The design and development of a platform for comparative hospital performance analysis for a US healthcare startup. The platform combines public and proprietary data, and presents relative hospital performance via graphical visualisation tools.

Audiophile music server
The development of the software for an audiophile hi-fidelity music server/streamer, including the integration of open source components with custom software to manage the playing of hi-resolution audio content.

Virtual microscope
The development of a virtual microscope app for a US medical museum. The app displays images of Einstein’s neuroanatomy and allows exploration and zooming down to the cellular level.

Virtual anatomy laboratory
The development of a web-based virtual anatomy laboratory for a US medical museum. The laboratory is used to teach anatomy to medical students, nurses and physical therapists.

Photo management and sharing
The development of a photo management and sharing app for a US startup.

Collaborative web portal
The development of a collaborative web portal for a publisher of event announcements. The portal uses dynamic database and Ajax techniques to achieve maximum flexibility and performance, whilst being simple to use.

Document management system
The development of a document management system that uses a hybrid desktop client with embedded web browser, to achieve the rich interactive user experience of a traditional application with the flexibility of a web application.

Open Source strategy for government
The preparation of an Open Source software and suppliers document for an Australian state government. The document outlines strategies for the successful adoption of Open Source software to complement existing proprietary software, and as a means of local industry development.

Cryptographic software library
The development of a software package to make an industry-leading cryptographic software library available within the Tcl dynamic language, allowing even inexperienced crypto programmers to easily add encryption and authentication services to their software. Sponsored by a US company and released under an Open Source license.

Graphical workflow viewer
The development of a graphical workflow viewer for an Eastern European systems management company.

Telephone network testing
The user interface components of a 24×7 telephone network testing and provisioning application for a US telco.

Embedded web browser
The implementation of an Ajax-based facility to allow the Firefox web browser to be embedded in, and controlled by, a traditional desktop application. The work was undertaken for a US customer.

Automated publishing system
The design and implementation of an automated publishing system for a large automotive industry organisation. The system automates the production of parts and supplier catalogs for Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
